The beauty of the desert serves as a mirror in which we can discover that our own inner deserts - including those of unfulfilled longing, suffering, or the feeling that we have a lack of societal opportunities to express our gifts - ALSO contain a hidden beauty. This loveliness is unveiled when we learn to sit with these experiences of interior aridity and allow them to reveal their innate wisdom.
