On Saturday night, the western sky remained clouded for most of the late afternoon and early evening. Then, ten minutes before sunset, the sun reached a thin band of clear sky located between the cloud bank and the horizon. Suddenly, all of the rock formations began glowing with a hot orange hue. It was glorious!
