The desert inspires both simplicity and confidence. Its simplicity teaches us to strip away all of the habits and activities that clutter and obscure our truest desires. And its dignified rock spires, buttes and canyons instruct us to live a disciplined life - one that enables us to act purposefully and decisively rather than submitting passively to the whims of momentary, passing desires. It is this discipline that in turn gives birth to a sense of confidence. Such are the gifts of the desert!
