Welcome! I am a contemplative thinker and photographer from Colorado. In this blog, you'll discover photographs that I've taken on my hiking and backpacking trips, mostly in the American West. I've paired these with my favorite inspirational and philosophical quotes - literary passages that emphasize the innate spirituality of the natural world. I hope you enjoy them!

Being on the cusp between Autumn and Winter reminds us that we are living continually on the edge of creation!

Being on the cusp between Autumn and Winter can serve as a reminder of the fact that during every moment of our lives, we are continually living on the edge of creation.

For we and all things FLAME out with life at the same moment that we also DISSOLVE back into the Silence out of which we emerged - only to flame out once more, and then dissipate into our Source yet again.  This process of creation continues to occur every moment of our life here on Earth!
