I
often ponder the fact that we as human beings have a tendency to value
the things that are fresh and new in every aspect of life except ONE -
the realm of theology and religion. For some reason, we have a tendency
to focus on past revelations more than on the expansive insights of the
present and future. We do indeed need the past; after all, it is
pointless to "reinvent the wheel." But the spiritual
journey is so fresh, so filled with ever-expanding possibilities,
continually in the process of creating larger and vaster Wholes from
the brightest and best insights of the past. Why would we want to
fixate on the past alone when the Creator is here with us - and within
us - TODAY?
