Welcome! I am a contemplative thinker and photographer from Colorado. In this blog, you'll discover photographs that I've taken on my hiking and backpacking trips, mostly in the American West. I've paired these with my favorite inspirational and philosophical quotes - literary passages that emphasize the innate spirituality of the natural world. I hope you enjoy them!

The shift from perceiving an insight to practicing and embodying it.

As spiritual seekers, we live for the "flashes of insight" that utterly transform our perception of the world, filling it with a profound sense of awe and wonder. However, when an insight fades - as it inevitably does - we are then called to practice and embody it - to BECOME the insight rather than just PERCEIVE it.
