Nature's beauty mirrors the beauty of the gaze which sees it. Nowhere is this more evident than in an alpine lake which, as Thoreau says, can be envisioned as "earth's eye." The joy we feel in the presence of such beauty then vibrates both inner and outer beauties into One - experientially!
