Welcome! I am a contemplative thinker and photographer from Colorado. In this blog, you'll discover photographs that I've taken on my hiking and backpacking trips, mostly in the American West. I've paired these with my favorite inspirational and philosophical quotes - literary passages that emphasize the innate spirituality of the natural world. I hope you enjoy them!

The autumn colors put us in touch with our own inner glow.

There is something about the autumn colors that puts us in tune not only with the radiance of the external landscape, but also with our own inner glow.

Others must feel similarly, for I have had more response to the autumn photos of the past several weeks than to almost any other set of pictures.
